Role Overview
We are seeking an empathetic, highly skilled Behaviour Support Officer to serve as the essential safety net for our revised behaviour curriculum. The officer will bridge the gap between pastoral care and active behaviour management, providing specialised care to vulnerable learners in a dedicated environment, enabling classroom teachers to maintain focused, uninterrupted learning.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a “safety net” for the school’s behaviour curriculum.
- Bridge pastoral care and behaviour management to support students with EHCPs and SEMH needs.
- Provide specialised support to vulnerable learners.
- Facilitate a classroom environment that is safe, uninterrupted and conducive to learning.
Qualifications
- Experience working with learners with EHCPs, mental health or behavioural challenges.
- Strong empathy, communication and team‑working skills.
- Knowledge of trauma‑informed practice and behaviour support frameworks.
- Commitment to fostering inclusion and equality.
