About the role

You will support the Team Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the Children in Care Team, ensuring high quality practice and positive outcomes for children and young people in care.

Key responsibilities

• Support the management and oversight of the Children in Care Team
• Provide supervision, guidance and support to social workers
• Oversee complex casework and care planning
• Ensure high quality practice in relation to children in care
• Contribute to service development and performance management
• Support decision making in line with statutory responsibilities

Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker (Social Work England registered)
• Significant experience within Children’s Services (Children in Care desirable)
• Experience of supervision and supporting staff
• Strong knowledge of care planning and statutory processes
• Ability to manage complex and sensitive casework

Additional Information

The role is based in Keynsham with an expectation of at least 2 days per week office presence.
