Responsibilities
- To deliver and collect all goods/items to or from the designated points advised by Swish Building Products.
- Highlight any Health & Safety issues to your line manager or transport office asap. It is your responsibility to ensure you perform all your tasks in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company Health & Safety rules and working practices.
- To be responsible for ensuring that your load is secured safely on the vehicle complying with all legal requirements of which you are aware as a professional driver.
- To ensure you are not sitting in the driver’s seat whilst the vehicle is being loaded or unloaded or serviced.
- To be responsible for accurately completing all required documentation relating to the vehicle, driving and hours laws and deliveries and collections and to also follow any regulations or law that relate to any of these matters.
- To report any load discrepancies to the Transport Office immediately.
- To be responsible for obtaining signed Pod’s for all goods and stillages/legs delivered for, or on behalf of Swish Building Products.
- To be responsible for the cleanliness of your vehicle “inside and out” and to always keep the vehicle a nonsmoking vehicle.
- To undertake any training required to develop further.
- To report any accidents or official stoppages to the Transport Office immediately
- To be responsible for your own and others safety by performing tasks in a safe and timely manner in accordance with Health and Safety Rules and Working Practices.
- To always follow the Epwin Charter of Rules.
- You will be required to carry out any reasonable request asked of you by your line manager.
- To be responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is parked in a secure place when on overnight stops.
Role Requirements
- Valid C Driving Licence (HGV Class 2)
- Compliance with legal driving regulations.
- Strong understanding of vehicle safety and load security.
- Ability to identify and report safety risks.
- Overnight stays are required
- The role involves regular handballing and manual handling of goods as part of day‑to‑day duties.
