Job Overview

A special needs school in Hackney is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to support pupils with Autism (Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). This is a full-time, “temp-to-perm” position within a highly regarded Local Authority establishment.

The school is an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ special school catering to pupils aged 2-11. It is located in a modern, purpose-built facility designed to meet complex learning needs.

  • Class Size: 7 primary‑aged pupils.
  • Support: 3 full‑time Teaching Assistants assigned to the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans to promote student independence and social skills.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and educational psychologists.

Candidate Requirements

  • References: Candidates must provide satisfactory professional references covering their recent employment or training history.
