Sales Development Representative – Self‑Employed Contractor (Remote or Hybrid, Full or Part Time)

We are looking for a passionate relationship builder to open doors, book meetings, and develop sales opportunities while enjoying the flexibility and independence of a self‑employed contractor.
Important – please read before applying: This is a self‑employed consultancy engagement. You will invoice us at an agreed day rate, be responsible for your own tax and National Insurance (or local equivalent), and carry your own professional indemnity insurance. Contract Details
• Preference for candidates based in the UK, US or Canada.• Successful candidates must complete a basic background/security check in their country of residence before gaining system access, in line with our information security and data protection commitments.• Monthly invoicing, paid within 14 days of an approved invoice.• Initial probation period with a short notice period; continuation will be agreed thereafter.• Remote or hybrid work is available; occasional visits to the Reading office may be required with travel costs reimbursed.
Role
You will work directly with our new‑business sales and marketing teams, focusing on booking qualified new‑business meetings.
- Prospecting and lead generation – identify and research organisations that fit our ideal customer profile.
- Outbound outreach – initiate contact through phone, email, and social channels.
- Lead qualification – assess interest, budget and need against agreed criteria.
- Booking meetings – schedule qualified meetings and demonstrations for Account Executives.
- Reporting and tracking outcomes.
- Collaboration – work closely with sales and marketing colleagues on strategy and messaging.
Qualities & Experience
- Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills.
- Strong organisation and time management – comfortable managing a high volume of activity.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and modern sales tools.
- Persistence, self‑motivation and discipline required for self‑employed work.
- Prior SDR, BDR or outbound prospecting experience preferred.
Compensation
Day rate and weekly commitment to be agreed – we have flexibility on both. The day rate will be invoiced monthly and paid within 14 days of approval.
