Showroom Sales Assistant / Bench Locksmith (Guildford)

We are seeking a Showroom Sales Assistant / Bench Locksmith for our showroom in Guildford. The role involves assisting in the day‑to‑day running of the showroom, ensuring a high standard of customer service, providing clear product advice, upselling, and maximizing sales opportunities. You will interact with customers face‑to‑face, by phone or email, and maintain the Banham brand image.

Responsibilities

• Assist with showroom opening and closing procedures and daily checks.
• Provide accurate advice and recommendations on all Banham products, including locks, safes, registered keys, gates, grilles and security doors.
• Promote survey services and contract/cylinder upgrade services.
• Maximise sales opportunities with both Retail and Trade clients, generating revenue and raising awareness of Banham services.
• Work collaboratively as part of the showroom team to meet KPI targets such as sales and survey leads.
• Carry out general bench locksmith work: key cutting, servicing, pinning up cylinders, assembling locks, and repairing locks brought to the showroom.
• Process customer payments and orders.
• Maintain accurate stock counts, perform stock checks, and report errors.
• Ensure locks and components are booked out on our computerised system to keep stock levels accurate.
• Provide flexibility to cover other showrooms on an ad‑hoc basis.
