Overview

Tesco UK • Doncaster Extra • Permanent • Working hours: 18 per week.

Availability

  • Sun 13:00–23:00
  • Mon 13:00–23:00
  • Sat 09:00–19:00

Pay

Hourly pay starts from £14.18, increasing to £15.45 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.

The minimum guaranteed hours per week are 16, but part‑time options of 12 hours are also available.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the van and trays are clean, tidy, and organised.
  • Keep the back yard clean and pick up litter.
  • Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
  • Load the van as required and check the van for roadworthiness.
  • Communicate with customers about changes to their order, including short‑code items and substitutions, and offer refunds for items they are unhappy with.
  • Handle products and deliveries with care, treating them as if they were your own.
  • Inform customers that they will not be charged for substitutions.
  • Deliver during the customer’s time slot.
  • Call the customer before arriving if you are early.
  • Call the store or centre if you are 30 or more minutes late.

  • Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit and make the store the best it can be for customers.
  • Be warm, welcoming, and take time to understand the customer’s needs.
  • Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change within the store.
  • Be energetic and driven to exceed expectations, balancing home and work.
  • Share ideas with your manager and other colleagues to improve the store experience.
  • Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
