Department Overview

Brookfield AI Infrastructure Fund (“BAIIF”) is Brookfield’s latest flagship fund strategy within the Infrastructure team. BAIIF is in the process of raising a $10bn fund with a founder close already completed at $5bn including NVIDIA as an anchor investor.

In October 2025, BAIIF announced a strategic partnership with Bloom Energy Corporation (“Bloom” or the “Company”) to fund up to $5 billion of capital to develop 1 GW of behind-the-meter (“BTM”), low-emissions power generation capacity for AI infrastructure projects (the “Partnership”).

Bloom, headquartered in San Jose with a market cap of more than $80 billion, manufactures modular “energy servers” that convert natural gas or hydrogen into electricity through a high-efficiency electrochemical process without combustion.

Through the Partnership, Brookfield (90%) and Bloom (10%) will jointly fund projects that meet strict investment criteria, including investment-grade offtakes, long-term contracts, and minimum return thresholds.
