Compass Associates is supporting a newly opened veterinary practice in Essex as they look to grow and add a new Veterinary Surgeon to the team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new site in the early stages of their development and make a real impact on the site. The practice opened Summer 2025 and offers general practice services including soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries, dentistry, consults, airway surgeries and more. Location is on the Essex coast and is commutable from Colchester, Brightlingsea, West Mersea, Walton-on-the-Naze, Braintree and surrounding areas.
Open to New Graduates & Experienced Clinicians. Up to £65,000 + Benefits.
The Practice
The team has a strong client base with good local reviews and is equipped with brand new consult and surgery rooms, a team of nurses and non-clinical support staff. The practice currently offers a mix of general practice services with opportunities for a wide range of cases.
The Role
You would see a good blend of internal medicine cases, surgical procedures and work on in-house diagnostics (X-ray and ultrasound). Candidates may be experienced clinicians looking to help manage or new graduates starting their first roles.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical care across general practice services, including soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries, dentistry, consults and diagnostic workups.
- Collaborate with nurses and support staff to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in internal medicine cases, surgical procedures and use in-house X-ray and ultrasound for diagnostics.
