A leading international law firm is seeking a high‑performing, detail‑focused Revenue Controller to support partners and fee earners across its London office. The role will champion best practice across billing, collections and revenue compliance, directly contributing to the firm’s financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

WIP reviews – Leading regular WIP review meetings with partners and fee earners to drive timely invoicingAged WIP monitoring – Tracking aged WIP and advising on actions to prevent build‑upBilling guidance – Advising partners on billing best practice, targets and forecastingMatter insight – Building awareness of matter lifecycle and financial performanceBill preparation – Preparing and issuing bills in 3EAdjustments – Processing transfers, narrative edits, time divides, write‑offs and credit notesBilling compliance – Ensuring billing instructions and client details are accurate and up to dateDebt management – Monitoring aged debt and proactively following up on overdue invoicesClient liaison – Communicating directly with clients to resolve outstanding paymentsCollections forecasting – Supporting monthly collections forecasting and cash‑flow targetsAR reporting – Producing regular and ad‑hoc AR reportsE‑billing submissions – Working with the eBilling Support Team to ensure timely, accurate submissionsClient finance liaison – Engaging with client finance teams to ensure smooth invoice processing and paymentFinancial reporting – Producing detailed WIP, AR, collections and cash‑receipt reports through 3E

Job Requirements

Legal revenue experience – Experience in revenue, billing or credit control within a law firmSystem knowledge – Strong knowledge of billing systems, ideally Elite 3EE‑billing exposure – Experience with platforms such as CounselLink or Legal TrackerCommunication – Excellent verbal and written communication skillsTechnical skills – Highly skilled in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
