Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Service Engineer with expertise in crane maintenance, lifting equipment, and mechanical/electrical systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading company in the industrial engineering sector, providing technical support, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs for clients.This Service Engineer role is full time and permanent working Monday to Friday 7am-4.30pm offering a salary of £35,360 per annum (£17/hour) + Overtime at time and a half, and a company car! Key Responsibilities as a Service Engineer:
- Perform routine maintenance on cranes and lifting equipment.
- Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
- Carry out system upgrades and modifications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
- Maintain accurate service reports and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Service Engineer, Field Service Technician, or similar role in industrial machinery or manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
- IPAF Licence and NPORS (or equivalent) in lifting equipment preferred.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel.
- Comfortable working at heights and towing trailers (training provided).
