Technical Sales EngineerA well established and growing precision fabrication manufacturer is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join their team during an exciting period of expansion. You will act as the bridge between customers and manufacturing, combining technical knowledge with commercial awareness to deliver tailored fabrication solutions.This opportunity would suit a technically strong, relationship-focused Technical Sales professional who understands fabrication processes and enjoys working closely with both customers and production teams. The business is not looking for an aggressive ‘hard seller’, but rather a consultative professional who can build long-term partnerships and provide genuine technical value to customers.Benefits:Salary up to £50,000 doeHours of work: 08:00am 17:30pm 40 hours per weekAnnual leave: 20 + 8 days bank holidays (increases with service)Birthday offFree onsite parkingHybrid Tuxford moving to Newark in the near future;

(3 days WFH, 2 days office)Key responsibilities include:Identify and develop new fabrication opportunities across industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, recycling and construction.Manage and grow existing customer relationships through a consultative sales approach.Travel to customer sites in the UK (and occasionally internationally) to understand requirements and develop partnerships.Maintain a 12-month rolling sales pipeline aligned with company growth targetsIdentify emerging markets where fabrication capabilities can be appliedInterpret engineering drawings, specifications and CAD filesProvide technical guidance during the sales processWork closely with fabrication and production teams to ensure customer requirements are achievableProduce accurate and competitive quotationsCreate bills of materials for procurementLiaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure pricing and margins remain commercially strongSupport projects from enquiry through to deliveryWork with internal teams to ensure customer expectations are met and projects run smoothlyMonitor industry trends, competitor activity and emerging fabrication technologiesAttend relevant exhibitions and industry eventsSkills / Experience Required:3-5+ years’ experience in technical sales within fabrication, sheet metal or manufacturingStrong understanding of fabrication processes such as laser cutting, bending, welding and finishingAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsStrong communication and relationship-building skillsCommercial awareness and problem-solving abilitySelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaborativelyFull UK driving licenceWillingness to travel to customer sites when requiredExperience with ERP/MRP systemsFamiliarity with ISO 9001 quality standardsHands-on manufacturing or fabrication background (preferred)If this sounds like you, please apply today…
