Job Description:
We are currently looking for a reliable with min of 6ths on road experience Class 1 Driver to join our team based in Wirral, CH62 4UY. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a growing logistics company with an excellent reputation in the industry.
As a Class 1 Driver, your primary duties will include:
Trunking: Transporting goods between various distribution centers.
Store Deliveries: Occasionally making store deliveries, with typically 3 drops per shift.
Ensuring all loads are secured and transported safely and on time.
Adhering to all relevant road safety regulations and legal requirements.
Completing necessary paperwork and ensuring accurate records of deliveries.
Maintaining a professional and friendly attitude when interacting with customers and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out long-distance trunking runs and sometimes store deliveries.
Perform vehicle checks before and after each journey to ensure the vehicle is in good condition.
Follow delivery schedules and routes efficiently.
Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring all laws and regulations are adhered to.
Ensure that deliveries are made promptly and accurately, with good communication throughout.
Essential Requirements:
Valid Class 1 HGV license.
CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
Previous driving experience, ideally with trunking and multi-drop deliveries.
A strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A professional attitude to customer service.
Excellent knowledge of driving regulations and road safety.
Desirable:
Experience with multi-drop or store deliveries.
Rates & Benefits:
Competitive hourly rate between £16.25 – £21.00 depending on experience.
Weekly pay.
