Machine Operator

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour

My client are a successful and Innovative Engineering and Manufacturing company who operate on a global scale and have seen growth over recent years due to huge success.

They are now on the lookout for a SMT Operator to support the business with opportunities for further growth.

The Role of SMT Operator:

• Operate Surface Mount production lines to meet production schedules.
• Carry out PCB assembly tasks including solder paste printing, loading pick-and-place machines, and inspection before and after reflow.
• Read and interpret drawings, parts lists, and production documentation.
• Follow documented procedures and maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and housekeeping within the SMT area.
• Report product or process issues to supervisors promptly.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and on time.
• Support team training and continuous improvement activities.

The Person for the SMT Operator:

• Previous machine set-up and operating experience
• SMT programming experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
