About the role

As Head of Alumni and Supporter Voice, you will establish and lead a new strategic function for UCL Advancement, ensuring that the perspectives, experiences and needs of our alumni and supporters shape engagement, volunteering and fundraising strategies. Through a programme of research, insight and evidence generation, you will help drive more informed decision‑making and enhance the experience of our global alumni and supporter community.

Working across Advancement, you will design and deliver a programme of research, listening and feedback activity, bringing together qualitative and quantitative evidence to generate actionable insight. You will partner with colleagues across fundraising, engagement, data and insight functions, helping to embed a culture of evidence‑based decision‑making and ensuring that alumni and supporter voice is translated into meaningful action.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new function at a pivotal moment for UCL Advancement, helping us deepen engagement, improve supporter experiences and maximise the impact of our programmes and campaigns.

We are happy to consider applications to work on a part‑time/flexible basis wherever possible (minimum 0.8 FTE – equivalent of 4 days per week, stated salary to be pro‑rata).

This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 20% on site.

First stage interviews are expected to be held on 5 and 6 August, second stage are expected to be held on 12 August.

About you

You will have experience designing and delivering research, insight, listening, evaluation or feedback programmes and using evidence to influence strategy, programme development and decision‑making. You will be highly skilled at analysing and synthesising qualitative and quantitative data, translating complex information into clear recommendations that drive action.

You will bring experience of managing complex projects and building strong collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, alongside excellent communication and influencing skills. You will be comfortable working in an environment where priorities evolve and where identifying high‑impact opportunities is key to success.

Experience of commissioning and managing external research agencies, together with experience in fundraising, engagement, higher education, membership or customer‑focused organisations, would be advantageous.
