Working Site Manager – School Refurbishment Project

Location: Street, Somerset

Duration: 7 Weeks

Start Date: End of June/Early July

Rate: Competitive (DOE)

We are seeking an experienced Working Site Manager to oversee a school refurbishment project in Street, Somerset for a 7-week programme.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations while remaining hands-on where required to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing subcontractors and site labour.
• Coordinating daily site activities and programme delivery.
• Maintaining health & safety standards and site compliance.
• Conducting site inductions and toolbox talks.
• Liaising with the client, school representatives, and project team.
• Monitoring quality control and ensuring works meet specification.
• Assisting with practical site tasks when required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment projects.
• Previous experience working within live school or education environments preferred.
• Valid SMSTS certificate.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• First Aid at Work certification.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and drive programme deadlines.
