Do you have strong backend Python and AWS skills combined with client‑facing experience? You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands‑on Python Developer / Consultant role at a profitable technology scale‑up that is producing a software suite for legal firms, massively reducing para‑legal workloads. The company has seen huge interest in the product and has a lot of greenfield development work to get stuck into.
As a Senior Python Developer you will collaborate closely with clients, taking ownership of client bespoke projects end‑to‑end with a focus on building cloud‑based applications and systems using Python and AWS. You’ll work independently, make technical decisions and see the results of your work quickly.
Location / WFH: You’ll join a small but growing team based in Central Manchester three days a week (or at client sites) with flexibility to work from home the other two days.
About you:
- You have experience of working directly with clients and taking ownership of client bespoke development work.
- You have strong Python backend development skills, ideally including FastAPI.
- You have experience with AWS, including Amazon CDK.
- You have a strong understanding of DevOps principles.
- You have full software development lifecycle experience and a good knowledge of modern software engineering best practices.
- You have good business acumen, with experience of working in start‑ups or SMEs.
- You’re proactive and keen to contribute to the product.
- You are degree‑educated in Computer Science or a similar technical discipline.
- Ideally, you’ll have an active Github account and/or personal projects.
