Requirements
- We require 2-4 years experience in networking, cybersecurity, or infrastructure.
- We require a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- We need strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, and Layer 1-3 troubleshooting.
- We require proven experience in incident response and customer-facing technical roles.
- We need the ability to own and resolve incidents under pressure.
- We require excellent communication skills, with a clear, calm, and customer-ready approach.
- We need scripting and automation ability using Python, Bash, or similar.
- Nice to have: BGP, FlowSpec, and traffic engineering knowledge.
- Nice to have: NetFlow and sFlow analysis experience.
- Nice to have: IDS/IPS, firewalls, and packet analysis skills using tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump.
- Nice to have: SIEM experience, particularly Splunk.
- Nice to have: Linux proficiency.
- Nice to have: virtualisation experience with KVM or ESXi.
- Nice to have: certifications such as CCNP, JNCIS/JNCIP, CySA, GIAC GCIA, or GCIH.
Responsibilities
- We own incidents end-to-end across Incident, Major Incident, Change, Problem, and Service Request workflows in an ITIL-aligned environment.
- We lead real-time response to live DDoS attacks and complex network events as they unfold.
- We perform advanced 1st-3rd line triage and troubleshooting across the platform and customer environments.
- We act as a subject matter expert on our real-time mitigation technology.
- We serve as the technical escalation point for junior engineers.
- We work directly with customers and partners during high-impact incidents.
- We collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Threat Intelligence to feed insight back into the platform.
- We drive documentation, runbooks, and operational improvements that raise team performance.
- We mentor junior engineers and support their development.
- We continuously deepen our own networking and DDoS expertise.
