About the role

The North School is seeking a Pastoral Support Assistant to work alongside the Lead Teacher in its Alternative Provision.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral support to students in the Alternative Provision
• Deliver interventions to individual students and small groups
• Support students in making good choices regarding their behaviour and learning
• Ensure safeguarding procedures are implemented daily
• Communicate with staff members, external agencies and parents
• Maintain accurate records including intervention logs, communication, and Alternative Provision database
• Provide support within the school environment including some mainstream lessons
• Assist students in completing projects such as publishing a school magazine, enterprise projects and school trips
