Senior Project Manager
Specialty Insurance – City of London / Hybrid 2 days in the office – £70,000 – £80,000 plus bonus and benefits.
Overview
Pioneer Search is working with a leading global specialty insurance business that is investing heavily across its international change function.
This senior Project Manager role focuses on delivering complex business and technology change across international operations. Projects may include operating model change, product launches, new distribution channels, acquisitions, finance transformation, operational improvement and technology‑enabled change.
The key priority is delivery quality.
Insurance experience would be useful, but it is not the main requirement. The focus is on proven project delivery capability in a complex environment.
Responsibilities
- Leading strategic business and technology change projects
- Managing scope, budget, timelines, risks, issues and dependencies
- Producing clear project plans, governance updates and executive reporting
- Working closely with senior business and technology stakeholders
- Managing project financials, resources and delivery controls
- Coordinating vendors, third parties and internal project teams
- Supporting transition into business as usual and tracking benefits realisation
Qualifications
- Strong project management experience across business or technology change
- A track record of delivering complex projects to agreed outcomes
- Excellent stakeholder management and senior communication skills
- Strong governance, planning and financial management capability
- Experience working across business and technology teams
- Consulting, insurance, financial services or complex corporate change experience
- PRINCE2, Agile or equivalent certification would be beneficial
This would suit a Project Manager who is outcome focused, delivery led and confident operating in a structured change environment where quality, control and stakeholder confidence matter.
