Job Description
This role requires a skilled C++ Developer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality software solutions within the IT and Internet sector. The successful candidate works collaboratively within a development team to deliver robust and efficient applications that meet business and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain C++ applications in accordance with project specifications and coding standards.
- Analyse user requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Write clear, efficient, and well-documented code to ensure software quality and maintainability.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of software development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including testers, analysts, and project managers to deliver projects on time.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve development practises.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in C++ software development within a professional environment.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Competence in debugging, profiling, and performance optimisation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Education
- Qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience
- At least one year of practical experience in C++ development or a similar programming role.
- Experience working within a team environment and contributing to complex software projects.
Knowledge and Skills
- Proficiency with C++ language standards and libraries.
- Understanding of memory management and multithreading concepts.
- Familiarity with development tools such as integrated development environments and version control systems.
- Basic knowledge of software testing methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with additional programming languages or technologies relevant to the role.
- Knowledge of network programming and database integration.
- Previous exposure to agile project management tools.
Working Conditions
