Overview
BD is seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Specialist to join our Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) team. The MDS team provides products for injection and infusion therapy, regional anesthesia, and closed medication management.
The role involves providing evidence‑based, best practice training and consultation in all aspects of vascular access management, both peripheral and central.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Medical, Commercial and Market Access teams to develop key accounts and work with Territory Managers to facilitate new vascular access services.
- Implement new products in clinical areas and provide clinical expertise and evidence‑based training at departmental and individual levels within hospitals.
- Ensure attainment and maintenance of clinical expertise in vascular access and IV therapy.
- Collaborate with Territory Managers to achieve MDS business objectives.
- Conduct clinical training, data collection, and educational programs within the assigned geography.
- Leverage clinical and product knowledge to support BD solutions and meet customer needs.
- Provide evidence‑based training in vascular access and IV therapy both internally and externally.
- Offer technical support to customers and internal teams.
- Collaborate with MDS medical advisers to develop key advocates and potential key opinion leaders.
- Work in partnership with key customers to drive clinical advocacy for MDS product solutions.
- Operate as a field‑based specialist covering South and East Yorkshire (and North Midlands), spending at least 80% of time in field per week.
Qualifications
- 1st level nursing qualification and current NMC registration.
- Teaching or mentoring certification.
- Experience in insertion of peripheral and central vascular access devices.
- Previous experience working within a vascular access team with advanced access devices (desirable).
- Recognised certificate in supervisory clinical education (desirable).
- Experience delivering vascular access and IV therapy theory and practical training/supervision.
- Experience using data collection to demonstrate reduction in complications and improved clinical outcomes.
- Vascular Access Board Certification (AVA) desirable.
Compensation
Salary range: £43,300.00 – £66,025.00 GBP per annum.
