Overview

We are recruiting for an experienced Public Health Design Engineer to join a busy building services consultancy on a contract basis. This is a fully remote role, offering an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer with proven experience designing public health systems for commercial building projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordination of drainage systems within commercial buildings, working closely with MEP design teams, architects, and project stakeholders.
• Produce public health design calculations, layouts, schematics and technical drawings for foul water, waste water, rainwater and drainage systems.
• Review project information, interpret architectural and structural drawings, coordinate services with other building services disciplines and ensure designs are completed in line with relevant regulations, standards and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Public Health Design Engineer, Building Services Design Engineer or similar role within an MEP consultancy or building services contractor.
• Strong experience designing commercial drainage systems, including foul water, soil and waste, rainwater drainage, below-ground drainage and water services.
• Confidence working independently in a remote environment, managing workload and delivering accurate design information to agreed deadlines.
• Experience using industry-standard design and drawing software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroDrainage, Civils 3D or similar packages.
