This role supports the rotary‑wing Enterprise Chinook Programme through the LSA Technical Lead, ensuring timely and accurate supply‑chain support for aircraft spare parts and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Review the LSA following changes to programme baselines and advise SC of spares changes.
- Review technical documentation to resolve alternative solutions for long‑lead‑time spares orders.
- Provide an initial response to the supply chain for immediate technical queries related to parts provision and use on aircraft.
- Collaborate closely with the FSR team to resolve initial issues.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Support (LSA and Technical Publications) team to ensure correct changes to the Air System Documentation set.
- Support contingency planning and requirements to transition projects smoothly into sustainment.
- Mentor Supply Chain Team members in the use of technical information.
- Work as directed by the LSA Technical Lead and the Chinook Product Support Manager.
Basic Qualifications
- Previous practical experience in aircraft maintenance (Chinook experience preferred).
- Experience in Logistics Support Analysis using LSAR.
- Experience in Support Engineering or Integrated Logistical Support.
- Ability to obtain UK SC security clearance.
- Knowledge of MAA regulation and related articles, including Pt 145 interactions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to use the aircraft air system documentation set, including technical drawings.
- Understanding of support engineering within military environments.
- Experience in spares engineering and logistics support analysis.
- Ability to read and understand aircraft drawing sets.
- Authoring of support product documentation.
- Degree‑level education in a relevant engineering subject.
- Ability to liaise with the OEM platform side of Boeing to integrate UK solutions with base platforms.
- Proven ability to drive first‑time quality.
- Experience with international support standards such as Def Stan 00‑600 and ASD/AIA Suite of S‑Series ILS specifications.
