Employment Solicitor – 5+ Years PQE – Birmingham, £75,000+ (DOE) – JOB REF: 4432

Role Responsibilities

• Manage own caseload, handling everything from day-to-day advisory work to Employment Tribunal litigation
• Provide pragmatic, commercial advice to employer clients on a wide range of employment matters, including TUPE, reorganisations, contracts of employment, workplace policies, disciplinary and grievance issues, and senior executive exits
• Take ownership of Employment Tribunal claims from initial instructions through to drafting pleadings, case management and advocacy where appropriate
• Mentor and support junior lawyers, sharing knowledge and helping to develop the team’s talent
• Build and strengthen client relationships while contributing to networking, marketing initiatives and business development activities

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 Years PQE as an Employment Solicitor
• Strong track record of advising employer clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
• Experience managing Employment Tribunal claims from start to finish
• Sound knowledge of TUPE and employment issues arising from mergers and acquisitions
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills
• Strong analytical ability with confidence to provide clear, commercially focused advice
