Construction Placement Officer

Overview

This is an exciting time to join Exeter College’s construction faculty to secure short work placements for full‑time learners aged 16‑19. The role supports the national priority of delivering skilled construction workers by helping learners secure, prepare for, and successfully complete an industry placement.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the curriculum team to secure placements, prepare learners, and support them through to successful completion.
• Partner with employers and learners throughout the placement to ensure learning outcomes are met.
• Collaborate with a wider team of Industry Placement Liaison Officers (IPLOs) across the college.
• Achieve placement targets and work towards a 20% bonus at the end of the academic year.

Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong initiative and a can‑do, positive attitude.
• Ability to influence and persuade potential employers to partner with the college.
