Role Overview
Deputy Health and Safety Manager to support a safe, compliant and positive environment for staff, students and visitors across our campuses.
Responsibilities
- Support development, testing and maintenance of the Group’s Incident Management and Business Continuity plans.
- Support the development and delivery of annual health and safety training programmes such as Fire Safety, Manual Handling and DSE Assessments.
- Monitor national security alerts and guidance to ensure the Group remains responsive.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of health and safety policies, procedures and risk assessments.
- Assist in managing RIDDOR reporting and liaising with HSE/EHO as required.
Qualifications
- GCSEs in Maths and English A-C/9-4 or equivalent, or NEBOSH Certificate.
- Membership of IOSH or actively working towards First Aid at Work qualification.
- Willingness to achieve ISO9001 Internal Auditor certification.
- Applicants may be required to provide evidence of qualifications and to undergo pre‑employment vetting following Keeping Children Safe in Education, including a DBS Enhanced Disclosure.
