Job Summary

We are searching for a committed and passionate Duty Manager to join our growing business. As Duty Manager you will work as a Retail Assistant and receive a £2 per hour supplement for the time that you manage shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver great availability for customers and focus on sales via “sell a 1 & save a 1”.
  • Complete actions set by the line manager after the daily floor walk, focusing on customer experience.
  • Implement all cash handling, security, and “One Best Way” digital service processes.
  • Plan and organise shifts and use every team member to achieve store objectives.
  • Provide balanced feedback and set the pace of the team during shifts.
  • Engage, develop and retain great people, supporting the Talking Shop Rep and driving inclusive culture.
  • Support team engagement and share knowledge to up skill the team.

Leadership Approach

  • Approach leadership at the heart of everything: love customers, respect colleagues, be enthusiastic, avoid waste, and care about people and business.
  • Communicate effectively with every colleague to deliver store tasks first time, every time.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a retail management or supervisory role is ideal, but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to plan and organise shifts.
  • Ability to give balanced feedback and motivate a team.
