Overview

Great permanent opportunity for a Business Change Project Manager to join a successful, growing Energy business.

The role is to manage strategic projects across the business, ensuring goals and objectives are clearly defined and achieved.

Responsibilities

Take accountability for each project, developing and following a clear delivery plan from start to completion, within agreed timelines.

Identify key milestones, time‑frames, dependencies, critical paths and assumptions, while ensuring planning standards are adhered to.

Ensure projects are appropriately resourced; hold owners accountable and manage stakeholders accordingly.

Coordinate with IT on transformation, system and software upgrade projects, data migrations and implementations.

Log risks and issues, and present information to stakeholders and senior staff.

Apply a flexible, adaptable approach across varying methodologies and changing project requirements.

Manage at least two to three medium‑sized projects from inception to delivery.

Work Arrangement

The role is hybrid: a minimum of two days in the office each week, with the remainder working from home. Onsite parking is available and the office is within walking distance of a train station.

Skills, Experience and Attributes

  • Degree educated
  • Minimum 2‑3 years’ experience as a Project Manager
  • Strong business change experience
  • Exposure to IT projects is desirable
  • PRINCE2 qualified
  • Experience with processes and governance
  • Experience with a variety of methodologies is useful
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient with Word, Outlook, Teams and Excel
  • Strong presentation skills using PowerPoint
  • Confident, problem‑solving mindset, not afraid to make mistakes
  • Remains calm under pressure
  • Flexible, adaptable and open to new ideas and change
  • Great listening skills and eagerness to learn new skills
  • Proactive, driven and highly ambitious
