This is a hybrid role based in our Gloucester office, you must live within a commutable distance.

As part of Destination Sport Group (“DSG”), Mike Burton creates and delivers major brand, customer, and revenue‑focused ticketing and travel programmes around the globe, working in direct partnership with organisations that include the British & Irish Lions and England Rugby. https://mikeburton.com/

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the organisation’s travel, accommodation, events and customer service departments to design market‑leading and customer‑focused experiential itineraries that are relevant and appealing to the customer.
  • Help build, test and refine new and existing products to ensure each product offering is on brand and promotes the correct messaging and inclusions.
  • Collate all costs and services from the internal departments for the product range.
  • Deliver a wide range of products that sit within the roadmap agreed with the Head of Commercial Product and Distribution and the wider business, ensuring all products are made available for launch and are on‑sale on agreed dates.
  • Monitor sales figures regularly and timely in line with product availability and requirements for bespoke, new and additional products in line with demand.
  • Assist in the creation of data and insight for market intelligence and customer insights.
  • Constantly strive to create and develop sales‑focused and relevant products that match customer demand and are innovative and progressive where relevant in the applicable product sector.
  • Maintain a constant and detailed understanding of the competition and the travel industry to ensure the organisation’s product is at the forefront of relevant market factors, including price, inclusions, structure and innovation.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing and customer services teams to have a swift and informed knowledge of customer feedback as and when events happen.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a product role is desirable but not necessary; a desire to make a difference, create and implement innovative and impactful product ideas is essential.
  • Must have experience working across teams in the business; good interpersonal skills are a must.
  • Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work within a team environment to achieve team/department objectives.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Well organised and able to prioritise workloads.
  • Strong analytical skills and logical thinking.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Relevant sports travel experience is not essential; character, ability, drive and enthusiasm are valued. Candidates who have worked in other sectors will also be considered.
  • Successful applicant must stay abreast of developments in product, travel, sports and other disciplines to identify opportunities for the business.
