HSE Specialist – Dublin (must live Local) – Donabate

We are looking for an Health and Safety Specialist to join our team in Donabate, Dublin but you will be travelling throughout the region. Your role and remit will be to enable improvements in HSE performance by delivering strategic projects that reduce accident and incident frequency rates.You will proactively engage business teams to develop a positive HSE culture. ***Full Irish Driving License The role includes travel and the flexibility to stay over at locations when required***. ***Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a HSE related role and in the construction industry*** Role Details:Annual salary up to 70,000k dependent on skills and experience. Plus an annual on target bonus of 5% depending on company performanceCompany CarRole based: Donabate, Co.Dublin, K36 K759Contract type: PermanentAnnual leave of 25 days per annum plus bank holidays and opportunity to buy an additional 5 days each year.
In this role you will be required to:
Lead strategic initiatives to improve HSE performance across the workforce. Coordinate HSE actions and outcomes across business units and departments to ensure consistency and alignment.Deliver engaging safety communications, presentations and training to strengthen awareness and behaviours.Continuously develop professional expertise in HSE through learning, research and best practice sharing.Assess and recommend improvements to infrastructure, processes and systems to enhance safety performance and compliance.Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership to support consistent safety standards across the division and wider business.Embed company HSE goals into daily operations to foster a proactive and engaged safety culture.Support the business in identifying and addressing root causes of accidents and hazards, integrating findings into continuous improvement.Reduction in accidents, incidents, near misses, RIDDORs.Zero Harm milestones are being achieved.Clear Occupational Health processes in place.Successful audits with improvements identified and implemented.Key initiatives and projects delivered on time and within budget.
Our Ideal Candidate
Level 8 or above qualification in Health and Safety or equivalentMinimum of 2-3 years experience in a HSE related role and in the construction industryIOSH managing safely.Data analysis, particularly identification of trends.Knowledge of 45001 and 14001 standards and their requirements.SKILLS: Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, Communication, Leadership, Project Management, Analytical Skills, Problem Solving, Auditing.
