Overview
Occupational Therapist – fixed term until 23/06/2027. South East Locality. Salary: £40,501 – £47,639. Hours: 36 per week. We are looking for a full time Occupational Therapist to join the South East Community Occupational Therapy team.
Responsibilities
- Undertake assessments and engage in conversations with people living in the community, working alongside Social Workers, Community Care Assistants and Health Professionals to promote a multi-disciplinary approach to living well at home.
- Promote and facilitate good manual handling practice, including risk assessment and providing care plans.
- Assess for, prescribe and review the provision of equipment, minor and major adaptations, and supportive services in accordance with good practice and Council policies.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy recognised by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and be registered with HCPC.
- Candidates must have the relevant professional registration as outlined above.
Pre-employment checks
- This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
- If an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outwith the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required and provided as part of the offer process. An unconditional offer of employment is subject to satisfactory outcome of both checks.
