Senior Support Worker, Children’s Residential Home
Location: Chalfont Saint Peter, Buckinghamshire. Full-time, 39 hours per week. Salary: £15.40‑£16.00 per hour plus £62.64 per sleep‑in (approx. 4–8 sleep‑ins per month) plus an additional £3,000‑£6,000 per annum.
Overview
Senior Support Worker responsible for providing therapeutic support and care to young people with complex needs, supporting a safe and nurturing environment, and assisting the Service Manager.
Responsibilities
- Promote and support the young people in our care to lead a life of positive development.
- Facilitate day‑to‑day management and support the Service Manager in delivering high quality care.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team to provide therapeutic care and support for each child.
- Record events and observations, prepare progress reports, and implement care plans.
- Act as a positive role model to colleagues and children.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 12 months experience in child‑centred therapeutic models.
- Strong communication skills, naturally caring, flexible, and resilient.
- Level 3 qualification in Caring for Children and Young People.
- Flexible working, covering long day shifts, weekends, and sleeps.
