Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Location: London – Central and Greater London (Regional role)

Contract: Permanent (52 weeks) or Summer contract (50 weeks, 5 weeks off in summer break + 22 days holiday)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday (flexible)

Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE, plus a welcome bonus of £2,000 (half after 3 months, half after probation)

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Develop and implement individualised intervention plans in collaboration with teachers, parents, carers and other professionals.
  • Provide specialist paediatric therapy interventions within school settings, with occasional clinic and remote work.
  • Deliver training and upskilling sessions to key adults to support treatment goals.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Evaluate intervention effectiveness and modify plans as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • HCPC and RCOT registration.
  • Recognised Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in occupational therapy.
  • Paediatric occupational therapy experience, ideally in specialist settings.
  • Experience working within schools and with EHCP assessments.
  • Specialist CPD and/or training relevant to paediatric OT.
  • Trauma‑Informed care experience.
  • Experience with paediatric social, emotional and mental health needs.
