Job Details

Job Title: SEN SupportLocation: MiddlesbroughPay: £90-£120 per day (depending on experience)Start Date: ImmediateContract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with a range of learning needs
  • Assist teaching staff in creating engaging and inclusive classroom experiences
  • Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours
  • Support the delivery of individual learning and behaviour plans where required
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, families, and external professionals to promote pupil progress
  • Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all learners

Requirements

  • Experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs is desirable
  • Ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual learning requirements
  • Good communication skills and the confidence to build positive relationships
  • Calm, resilient, and proactive approach when supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and positive educational outcomes
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection; must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or complete an application for a new check.
