Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with a range of learning needs
- Assist teaching staff in creating engaging and inclusive classroom experiences
- Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours
- Support the delivery of individual learning and behaviour plans where required
- Work collaboratively with teachers, families, and external professionals to promote pupil progress
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all learners
Requirements
- Experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs is desirable
- Ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual learning requirements
- Good communication skills and the confidence to build positive relationships
- Calm, resilient, and proactive approach when supporting pupils with additional needs
- Commitment to promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and positive educational outcomes
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection; must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or complete an application for a new check.
