Children’s Support Worker/Domiciliary Care Assistant – (July – September)
We are looking for experienced Children’s Support Workers / Domiciliary Care Assistants to provide support for a young man during school holidays.
About the Role:
- Location – Sale, Trafford
- 9‑hour shifts, Monday to Friday (8:30 am – 6 pm)
- Working as part of a double‑up care team
- Ongoing work available during every school holiday period
- Supporting the young person at home and on day trips and activities
- Assisting with mobility and handling a wheelchair
- Providing safe, engaging, and person‑centred support alongside another carer
- Personal care will be required
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
- Experience with non‑verbal children and young people
- Lots of energy and having fun is high on the list for this young man
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport preferred as business insurance will be required
- Confidence in taking the young person out into the community with support from another carer
- Physically able to assist with wheelchair handling
- Reliable, caring, and able to work as part of a team
Start Date:
This role will commence at the beginning of the school holidays, with regular opportunities available during future holiday periods.
