New Collaborative Learning Trust is looking for a Finance Assistant to join our central Finance Team and support the effective delivery of finance services across our three secondary schools.
About the Role
This varied and important role where accuracy, organisation and good communication really matter supports the Trust’s finance functions as a part‑time position suitable for someone returning to work, building finance experience, or seeking a role that fits around life outside of work while making a valued contribution.
Responsibilities
- Process orders and invoices
- Obtain authorisations
- Respond to finance queries
- Support staff with the finance system
- Follow‑up outstanding orders
- Process credit card transactions
- Reconcile statements
- Assist with the Trust’s online payment systems
- Liaise with colleagues, suppliers, auditors and other stakeholders to ensure efficient financial processes
Qualifications
- Strong IT and administration skills
- Good standard of maths
- Excellent attention to detail
- Customer‑focused approach
- Experience in finance, banking, ordering, invoicing or cash handling is an advantage
- Enthusiasm, flexibility and willingness to learn
- Confident communication with staff and students
- Team player with the ability to work well in a group
- Organised and able to use initiative when needed
