About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Looked After Children (LAC) service in Luton.

You will work within a supportive and dynamic team, managing a varied caseload and working closely with children, carers, families, and partner agencies to deliver high-quality, child-centred social work practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Looked After Children
• Undertake statutory visits, assessments, and care planning
• Work within care proceedings and contribute to permanence planning
• Build and maintain strong relationships with children and young people in care
• Liaise effectively with carers, schools, health professionals, and other agencies
• Ensure children’s care plans are progressed without delay
• Complete accurate and timely case recording in line with statutory requirements
• Promote the voice of the child in all aspects of planning and decision-making
