About the Role

As a Fostering & Kinship Social Worker, you will:

• Undertake assessments of foster carers and kinship carers.
• Provide ongoing supervision, support, and development to approved carers.
• Complete Special Guardianship and Connected Persons Assessments.
• Work collaboratively with children, families, and partner agencies to achieve permanence and stability.
• Participate in fostering panel processes and present high-quality reports.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with statutory guidance, legislation, and local authority procedures.
• Contribute to placement stability and positive outcomes for children in care.

Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Significant experience within Fostering, Kinship, or Children’s Social Care.
• Strong assessment, report writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred.
