Location: Epping, Essex (Rural location – own transport essential)

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Hours: Monday to Thursday 6:00am – 3:30pm | Friday 6:00am – 2:00pm

Due to the rural location, applicants must hold a full driving licence and have access to their own transport.

About the Position

Prime Appointments is recruiting for a keen and enthusiastic Factory Operative to join a growing manufacturing and production company based in Epping, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has hands‑on experience working within a carpentry or woodworking environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate machinery to accurately measure and cut materials for production – Edge Bander, Hot Press, Sander, etc.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools to manufacture products.
• Carry out manual handling duties, including heavy lifting.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Wrap and palletise finished products.

Requirements

• Previous experience or qualifications in carpentry, joinery, or a similar trade would be advantageous.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A full driving licence and your own transport due to the location.
