About the role

We are searching for enthusiastic people to help us support frail vulnerable adults with their individual Reablement journeys to enable them to regain their independence. You would be working with people who have been discharged from hospital back into their own homes, across North Northamptonshire, supporting them to achieve their goals and helping them with their daily living needs.

However please be aware that North Northants Council cannot employpeople on a Sponsorship.

Did we mention, no experience needed? Full support and training given.

Oh, and contracted hours so you get guaranteed pay each month.

Shift Pattern: 07.00 – 15.00 hrs. Alternating weekends. 4 week rolling rota averaging 22 hours per week

Unit Base: Haylock House, Kettering, NN15 6EY

–A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

What will you be doing?

Key requirements for a Reablement Care and Support Worker:

  • You will need to be genuinely concerned about people’s quality of life and be enthusiastic and able to think creatively.
  • You will be enabling individuals to regain their independence.
  • You would be working with the customer, setting and achieving goals in their own homes in the community.
  • You may be responding to emergency situations in the community in partnership with health services and Seniors in the Team.
  • You would be working with customers supporting their personal care and administering medication and nutritional needs.
  • Regularly review customers’ progress, monitoring the effectiveness and efficiency of the support plan and supporting Seniors within the office to make adjustments as necessary.

You need to be physically fit and in general good health.

You need the ability to be flexible and compassionate and act with honesty and integrity and treat others with dignity and respect.

You need to be a person who takes pride in their work with no judgemental attitude to others.

Any caring experience would support your application.

You need to have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
