Multi Skilled Operative

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Operative to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with experience in social housing, reactive maintenance, and finishing works to work across a variety of residential properties.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance, repair, and finishing tasks within occupied and void properties. You will be expected to deliver a high standard of workmanship while providing excellent customer service to tenants and residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive maintenance and repair works within residential and social housing properties.
• Complete carpentry and joinery repairs, including doors, locks, skirting boards, kitchens, and general woodwork.
• Undertake basic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Perform painting and decorating works to a high standard.
• Carry out finishing and snagging works to ensure properties meet quality standards.
• Complete general multi-trade repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose faults and identify the most effective repair solutions.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with tenants, residents, and clients.
• Accurately complete job reports and update work records as required.

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 1 & 2 in Carpentry and Joinery.
• Strong carpentry and joinery skills.
• Experience within social housing, property maintenance, or repairs environments.
• Finishing and snagging experience.
• Painting and decorating experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality of workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
• Full UK Driving License
