Responsibilities

  • Carrying out repairs and general maintenance
  • Preventative planned maintenance
  • Reactive maintenance repairs
  • Tasks range from simple building maintenance and joinery to plumbing, painting, and gardening

About You

You will have a broad range of practical skills and be the go‑to person when something breaks. You’ll love DIY, being active, and completing practical tasks. It doesn’t matter if you have qualifications; we can give you the training you need if you are keen and willing to do it.

We need your practical expertise to keep our portfolio of properties well maintained and safe for residents. You should strive to do the best you can with the time and resources available and have a desire to improve our budgets.

We provide a full training programme to skill you in plumbing, plastering, and general maintenance. You’ll also be supported by a fantastic team.

You will need a driving licence to travel to our portfolio of properties. A fleet vehicle and all tools will be provided.

This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check (paid for by YMCA) and registration with the DBS Update Service. We reserve the right to withdraw this role before the closing date should we be able to appoint to the role.

Hours

37.5 hours per week
