Building Maintenance Volunteer

Community Action Isle of Wight is looking for a volunteer at LINK, Sandown to help with the upkeep of the grounds. It would only need to be a few hours weekly or fortnightly.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance of the building and outdoor areas
• Basic DIY tasks (e.g. putting up shelves, hooks, noticeboards, pictures, fixtures)
• Cleaning and maintaining exterior building/steps
• Painting and touch‑ups where needed (inside and outside)
• Clearing gutters or checking drainage (if safe to do so)
• Supporting with seasonal tasks (e.g. clearing leaves, preparing outdoor areas)
• Supporting with basic health & safety upkeep (e.g. ensuring walkways are clear, checking lighting)

Qualifications

This role requires someone who is physically fit and able to do basic DIY.
