EYFS Teaching Assistant – September 2026

Milk Education are working with a primary school in Lowton (WA3) who are seeking a full-time EYFS Teaching Assistant to support the class teacher in an EYFS setting.

This role starts in September 2026 and will be a temporary, long-term position until February 2027.

The school is looking for someone who is caring, patient, nurturing and accommodating to all children’s needs. The hours of work are08:30am- 15:30pm, Monday to Friday.

This EYFS Teaching Assistant role will involve supporting the class teacher in the day-to-day set-up and running of the EYFS classroom, ensuring all children are kept on task and learning to their full potential. You will be responsible for getting resources ready for the day and you will provide a patient and nurturing learning environment for every child. You will also be supporting children with SEND whose additional needs range from Autism to Complex Needs.

Teaching Assistant – Role & Responsibilities

  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
  • Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
  • Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
  • Deliver catch‑up sessions

Teaching Assistant Level – Non-negotiables

  • Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, within the past two years
  • Must have a passion for education
  • Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
  • Must be reliable and punctual
