Driver Hire Ashford is recruiting an experienced Coach Driver to support local clients across the Ashford area. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional driver looking for flexible, ongoing work with a variety of assignments.
The Role
You will be responsible for operating coach and passenger vehicles safely and professionally while providing excellent customer service to passengers.
Assignments may include a combination of:
- School day trips
- Other passenger transport services
We anticipate a regular requirement through to the end of July. Workload is expected to reduce during August before increasing again in September. During quieter periods, we can discuss alternative driving opportunities, including van driving or HGV work for drivers who hold the relevant licence.
Responsibilities
- Transport passengers to planned destinations and routes
- Carry out vehicle safety checks before and after shifts
- Provide a high standard of customer service
- Comply with road traffic legislation, driver hours and safety regulations
- Complete all relevant paperwork and route information accurately
Requirements
- Full Category D (Coach/Bus) licence
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous coach driving experience preferred
- Professional and customer-focused attitude
- Good understanding of driver hours and transport regulations
- Flexible approach to different types of passenger transport work
