Salary: £30,000 per annum with potential to progress up to £35,000 per annum. Company Bonus Scheme: £1,500 per annum based on your performance & company performance. OTE earnings for year 1: £31,500. Experience: No teaching experience required – full training, support and development provided. Transport: UK/EU Driving Licence and own transport is essential. Holiday: 11+ weeks paid holiday a year. Location: You’ll teach in multiple schools across a regional area each week. Fuel contributions in addition to salary.

As a band leader you will:
- Teach groups of primary‑age children in a fun, inspiring rock and pop band format in up to 10 schools per week.
- Give children their first opportunity to learn an instrument – drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals.
- Work independently as part of a remote team of band leaders, with support from central teams.
- Be a rock and pop star role‑model, empowering and supporting children to deliver live performances at end‑of‑term concerts.
- Help children develop self‑belief, resilience and wellbeing through performing in a band.
- Represent Rocksteady, building strong relationships with schools, teachers and parents.
- Be prepared for highly active days, driving between schools and handling band equipment.
As a band leader you’ll need:
- To be competent on at least two of the following instruments: drums, guitar, bass, keyboard, vocals.
- The enthusiasm to learn how to teach band lessons and complete our extensive training programme before your timetable starts.
- Resilience to work in a role that provides great moments and challenges – often all in the same day.
- Confidence to be yourself at work, be proud of your uniqueness and communicate with children, teachers and parents.
- Integrity to promote the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
- To be an organised, independent worker with good time management and administration skills.
- A UK/EU driving licence and own transport to travel between schools.
