This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Pastry Chef de Partie to join an award winning restaurant with beautifully appointed bedrooms, set in the heart of the Lake District. The business welcomes a loyal and appreciative guest base who value quality, consistency and thoughtful cooking.

As Pastry Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in producing beautifully executed desserts, breads and baked items that complement the seasonal menus. You will work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team, bringing creativity and attention to detail to the pastry section while maintaining strong standards every day.

This role does not provide accommodation, so you must be able to reliably commute or relocate to the area. Own transport is essential due to the location.

Pastry Chef de Partie Ideal Profile

  • Passionate about pastry, baking, desserts and quality ingredients
  • Experience in a professional kitchen environment preferred
  • Confident producing desserts, breads and baked items to a high standard
  • Organised, reliable and attentive to detail
  • Calm under pressure with a positive attitude
  • Clean, efficient and professional working style
  • A team player who values consistency, quality and communication

Pastry Chef de Partie Responsibilities

  • Prepare and finish high quality desserts, breads and baked items
  • Support the pastry section across preparation, production and service
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to complement seasonal menus
  • Maintain strong standards across flavour, presentation and consistency
  • Contribute ideas and creativity to the pastry section
  • Keep the pastry section clean, organised and efficient
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, labelling and storage procedures at all times
  • Support a friendly, hard working and quality focused kitchen culture
