Teaching Assistant – Deal
Rikama Education are working with a specialist school in Deal, which caters for students with a wide range of additional needs, including social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH), autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and moderate learning difficulties.
Overview
The role is due to start immediately after half term, starting on Monday 15th April and will run until the end of the academic year. For the right candidate, a permanent contract may be offered. It is essential that you are self-motivated, proactive and have a passion for supporting those with additional needs. The role is demanding and challenging but very rewarding.
You will be required to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 3:30. Term time only.
Responsibilities
- Support students with a wide range of additional needs, including SEMH and ASD, and moderate learning difficulties.
- Assist teachers with planning, delivering and supervising activities in line with school policies.
- Support the learning, social and emotional development of students, promoting inclusion and safeguarding practices.
- Collaborate with school staff to monitor student progress and report concerns as appropriate.

- Ability to work in a challenging but rewarding environment.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday during term time, 8:30 – 3:30.
