Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Contract Type: Full-Time. temp to perm
Start Date: 1st September 2026
Salary: £95 to £110 per day, depending on experience
About the Provision:
The SEN provision is an integral part of a large multi academy trust and is dedicated to providing a tailored learning environment for pupils aged (ages 5-11) with specific needs, including ASD, ADHD, MLD and SEMH needs. They focus on nurturing their participation and building their confidence to enhance their overall learning experience.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with a team of professionals, including a SEN Teacher and other SEN Teaching Assistants.
- Support the pupils on a 1-1 or in small groups, providing encouragement and nurturing support throughout the day.
- Foster participation, assist in building confidence, and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with communication and interaction needs, particularly those with ASD, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with both pupils and the team.
- Commitment to providing nurturing support to enhance pupils’ confidence and participation.
- Flexibility, resilience, and ability to adapt to dynamic needs of the pupils.
- Relevant qualifications or training related to SEN support would be an advantage.
